May we all be blessed with health and peace.

Allow me to introduce myself, Djatiwidodo Edi Pratiknya, M.Kes, SpK.L., SubSp P.H. (Specialist in Marine Medicine, Subspecialist in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine), the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Hang Tuah University. We are aware that maritime territory makes up two-thirds of the territory that makes up the Republic of Indonesia. Consequently, it is with a great deal of joy that I extend an invitation to each and every one of you to take part in the 2nd International Conference of Hyperbaric, Underwater, and Coastal Medicine (ICOME).


This year’s conference pertains to “The Role of Marine Health and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for Clinical Cases in the 5.0 Era,” and it is intended for medical professionals, general practitioners, academics, and others who are interested in maritime matters. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to invite a number of notable individuals as well as respectable speakers from both the world and local communities who will offer their invaluable knowledge and insights.


We invite you to join us as we investigate the most recent developments in marine health and investigate the novel applications of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in this contemporary period. It is imperative that we make the most of this chance to broaden our knowledge and make a contribution to the improvement of clinical and marine health.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

I want to extend a warm welcome to all participants of the 2nd International Conference of Hyperbaric, Underwater and Coastal Medicine (ICOME).

This international conference is entitled “The Role of Marine Health and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for Clinical Cases in the 5.0 Era”. This webinar discusses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on urban health in the fields of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, underwater, maritime and coastal medicine, which are the main fields of Hang Tuah University Faculty of Medicine.

International experts from the Hawaii United States, Malaysia, Japan, Pakistan, Thailand, and Indonesia will present the material according to their expertise. This international webinar also provides an opportunity for other speakers to present their posters and papers in the free paper session. The information from this webinar is undoubtedly beneficial for doctors, scientists, participants, and the government to overcome the pandemic, especially the impacts, strategies, and challenges in Hyperbaric, Underwater and Coastal Medicine.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the coordinating minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia, to the Rector of Hang Tuah University and staffs, and also The Dean of Faculty of Medicine Hang Tuah University for enabling this international webinar to be well organized and attended by many participants.
